The new Ferrari F430 Scuderia

The new Ferrari F430 Scuderia is the new name for the Ferrari F430 Challenge Stradale. F1 champ Michael Schumacher himself unveiled the latest offering from the house of Ferrari. The lightweight 1250 kg car enjoys 520 horsepower with a low power to weight ratio of 2.45 kg per horsepower. To be very precise, it slightly underweighs the F430 by 100 kg. The all-new exclusive F430 Scuderia will take advantage of Ferrari’s latest F1 software ‘Superfast,’ which will reduce gear change times to 60 milliseconds.

The internal luxury is not what I had expected as the carbon fiber has replaced the leather trim and there is no radio or carpeting. The two-seater comes with two racing style bucket seats. Anyway, the machine is powered by an aspirated 4308cc V8 engine while a new traction control system will combine the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single unit.

Another exclusive feature of the car is gold, ten-spoked wheels. Aimed straight at the sports driving enthusiasts, the Ferrari F430 Scuderia is expected to be produced in limited run. Look for the Ferrari F430 Scuderia and Mr. Schumacher to unveil the new Ferrari at the Frankfurt Auto Show this 2007.
